Kim originated the title, "Mayor Of The Sunset Strip," in the late '60s in order to get into clubs for free and meet women... When Kim moved to Finland, he gave the title of "Mayor" to Rodney Bingenheimer... so he could be a "Freebie Romeo" too... Kim told Rodney during the filming of "Mayor" that he could take the title back any time he wanted... That time is now. Listen to Kim's rendition of "Mayor Of The Sunset Strip," featured on his soon-to-be-released album, "Adventures." And stay tuned for Vocal Group Lab Experimental Recording with Andy Paley. co-writer with Brian Wilson of "Rodney On The Roq," featured in "Mayor"... Chris Darrow of Studio Nadine, Claremont, California is another Kim Fowley collaborator from "Sweet Poison"... Kim and Chris are currently writing songs for Model-Singer-Songwriter Meghann Beck who is a Chris Darrow produced artist at Studio Nadine... Chris Darrow was a founding member of Kaleidoscope, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Arranger-Bandleader for Linda Ronstadt, and Arranger-Bandleader for James Taylor on the "Fire And Rain" Sessions... Chris was involved in the artist development of Ben Harper and wrote Ben's biggest success in Europe thus far: "Whipping Boy"... as a publisher Chris has scored Country Success with Vern Gosdin and a rumored upcoming cut by Reba McIntyre...
